Giving Days In The Arts in Australia

In case you missed this at last week's Culture Business Conference CBCSydney2024, Giving Days are the new hot pink of arts philanthropy. Inspiring case studies (Belvoir St Theatre, Queensland Art Gallery | Gallery of Modern Art, Adelaide Fringe to name a three) were shared about the success achievable when you rally a community, pair that with some key donors and create pop and fizz with an event. Of course, Giving Days have been a thing for a while but the Arts has been slow to realise their potential. Giving Days are obviously a good thing to add to your mix of fundraising and but are not always a quick success. Sometimes you need to build your giving community first. But for those organisations that have strong membership or a community of volunteers, that is a great start.
